Important information about the city
A Marine Park Conservation Fee will be charged as follows: MYR 5 per adult and MYR 2 per child (aged under 12 years old) for Malaysian passport/ID holders; MYR 30 per adult and MYR 15 per child (aged below 12 years old) for Non-Malaysian passport holders. From February 9, all tourists regardless of nationality who have visited Hubei, Zhejiang and Jiangsu in the last 14 days will be restricted to enter Malaysia.
The state of Sarawak announced on 1 Feb that Chinese tourists and other foreigners who had travelled to China in the last 14 days will be refused entry into Sarawak with immediate effect until further notice. Those with Employment Passes, Student Passes and Long Special Passes will be allowed entry and subject to a compulsory self-quarantine at home for 14 days.
The state of Sabah:
From February 8, all foreigners with recent travel history to mainland China within the last 14 days will not be allowed to enter Sabah.
Malaysian citizens (non-residents of Sabah) with recent travel history to mainland China within the last 14 days will not be allowed to enter Sabah.
Any Sabahan, permanent residents of Sabah and residents of Sabah under work pass, students pass, long term social visit pass or any exemption order, returning from mainland China are subject to a compulsory 14 days home quarantine.
All transit passengers originating or through mainland China will not be allowed entry to Sabah.
