Tanjung Bungah is located on the northern part of Penang. It's a more rural area filled with fishing villages, beaches, and a national forest park. It's a cool way to experience and observe the rural life in Penang. However, if you want to lie on the beach, you'll have difficulty since most of the beaches are privately owned by the resorts. Monkey Beach is accessible to the public but it takes at least an hour of hiking through the forest to get to the beach.
