Tuscany is by far the best of all of Italy. Beautiful scenery, excellent food and wine, amazing architecture, and a rich history. It is so much more enjoyable than southern Italy.
Rustic and charming, the towns and villages of Italy's Tuscany region offer old world elegance and history. Take it st your own pace, but linger if you can.
This is the Italy you've been dreaming of: rolling hills, cypress-lined driveways, sun-drenched vineyards, rustic farmhouses, and peace and quiet (except when mopeds growl by on the gravel.) Do yourself a favor and stay here awhile - preferably in a private villa or quaint B&B!
I passed by Florence on a day trip to Siena where my friends and i stayed for 2 days. I had been fond of Tuscany from the photos and movies I see but nothing beats experience of the cold breeze, the taste of yummy panacotta and pastry (I wasnt supposed to be eating sweet stuff but couldn't resist!), a really good leather bag (didnt have time to go to a designer outlet in Florence). These were 3 memorable and wonderful days which make me want to come back for more!
