Beautiful city ! Every corner is like a pictures . 1000 of churches. Square has nice restaurant and coffee shops people can rest when they get tired from walking around.

(120Km 1h 40 min) Assisi is a town of Italy in the province of Perugia in the Umbria region. It was the birthplace of St. Francis. It is the capital of the PEACE in the world.

I loved the charm of this beautiful town in the heart of Umbria. It's eerily quiet almost peaceful something rare in most of Italy. There is also so much to see the Basilica of St.Francis is the highlight but just wandering around the side streets is an experience not to be missed.

The fascinating home of St. Francis (and St. Clare) is a beautiful hill town with lovely views of the countryside and a ton of churches with interesting histories. But it's also just a cute town, with a maze of alleyways lined with shops and restaurants and bars. It's definitely a tourist trap, but rightly so.
