The hotel overlooks the Sullane River in the market town of Macroom, County Cork. Set in mature grounds, it offers a relaxing setting for a holiday break. Evening meals are served in Waders Bar which has a large patio area, open fire in the evenings and a warm friendly atmosphere. Macroom is an ideal touring base, the town itself is dominated by Macroom Castle which features 1200 acres of parkland to explore, other nearby attractions include Gougane Barra, Beal na Blath, Bealick Mill. The town itself is a market town with little craft shops, cafes and restaurants. There is an open market in the town square on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Macroom is situated between Cork and Killarney, Cork city is just 20 minutes away on the N22 and Killarney is 40 minutes to the West.
