Very good pizzas on the hotel terrace

We can’t say anything about the hotel, but the restaurant “Das Schmöckwitz” is definitely worth a visit. The location directly on the water is wonderfully idyllic and invites you to linger – perfect for a relaxing trip. If you fancy a really good pizza, this is the place for you. Delicious food in beautiful surroundings – what more could you want.

Very questionable restaurant

As a registered group of 20 people, we were guests for lunch at this hotel today. The first impression of the house and grounds is very good.
Unfortunately, you can't say the same for the restaurant service.
The menu featured only offers of pizza as a main course, exactly 5 variants.
Unfortunately, it also appeared that the operator was a temporary worker with no professional knowledge. They tried, but confusion with the orders and lack of any overview were unfortunately to be noted.
We had ordered for 1 p.m., the last of the group got their dinner at 2:30 p.m.
Probably there was only one pizza oven that could fit 3 pizzas.....
The quality of the pizza was not objectionable.
All in all, visiting this restaurant is not recommended.

We will be back and that says it ALL.

We stayed with our grandchild and our cocker in the hotel "Das Schmöckwitz ".We were warmly welcomed there and the kindness of the staff we can absolutely rate with 5 stars. The breakfast was also varied and delicious and the ambience unbeatable.9The location of the hotel is beautiful. It may be that some things can/have to be "designed". Our hotel room was clean and the price-performance ratio suitable. We can say a big thank you to the staff!!!!

Not what you expect

Don’t judge by the web site. Manor house looks lovely but the only time you get to go in is when checking in. The restaurant is closed ( not as advertised ) all they offer is a pizza. Breakfast is on a boat moored on the lake, very expensive at 15 euros each. The accommodation is in a block to one side, small pokey rooms, functional at best. There are no local restaurants of note so you’ll have to drive. Very disappointing, one to avoid.

Awful hotel in a rubbish setting with terrible customer service.

This was the worst business stay I’ve ever had. A disaster from start to finish.
The hotel itself is in the middle of nowhere, not their fault, I’ll grant you, but a challenge when not even the taxi drivers can find it!
The rooms are super-basic. Think youth hostel dormitory as opposed to any normal 3* hotel. It’s the kind of room you maybe stayed in when you were at school and went on one of those outdoor adventure weeks when you were 11 or 12. Yeah, that. It’s a good analogy as the beds were absolutely tiny too. As for amenities, what amenities?
However, all of this pales into insignificance when you then get in to the customer service aspects of it. As I was there on business, I needed an invoice. Pretty standard stuff, right? When I asked for it on checking out, I was told “we’ll email it straight to you.” Nothing. On getting back to the UK, I tried calling. Every call goes straight to voicemail. I tried emailing. Not a thing. I tried contacting them via the Booking.com message function and then their Customer Service. Not a sausage.
Finally after repeated back-to-back dials until the answerphone was clearly full, someone answered, clearly frustrated that the call had interrupted their day, and finally (after four attempts getting my email address wrong) managed to send me it.
Awful hotel in a rubbish setting with terrible customer service. I’d have been better off pitching a tent.
