Beautiful hilltoptown, with exiting vieuws over the landscape and Mirnavalley.
Pretty hilltop Istrian town which now hosts an annual European film festival. The main church dates from the 18th Century but look carefully and you can find some civic furniture dating back to the 14th and 15th Centuries.
Perched on a hill overlooking the Mirna River, this is perhaps Istria’s most picturesque medieval hill town. The main street spirals its way up past cafés and shops to a castle (now a hotel) and church at the crest of the hill. Among the many gourmet shops, Natura Tartufi stands out for the friendliness of its staff. Taste truffle products of every description – cheese, oil, vinegar, spreads – as well as local wines and a vast array of local brandy (rakija), in flavors like honey, hazelnut, mistletoe and cherry.
Nice little town on a hilltop in the middle of a large valley.
