Upscale neighborhood in San Jose, Costa Rica. Many gringo expats reside in and around Escazu. The place to go if you want a sheltered version of Costa Rica.
Don Gerardo is known in town for his paper maché "masks" that are more bodysuits than facemasks. His creations are both whimsical and playful, and you'll get a good show with them dancing. If you're in the neighborhood anyway (just outside San José), lunch at La Posada de la Bruja. Just know that you might be the only tourist(s) there.
THIS IS THE NICEST PLACE OF COSTA RICA OR WEALTHY AREA I SHOULD SAY. THE COURTYARD BY MARRIOTT IS AWESOME IN PLAZA ESCASU IS LOCATED TO ALL THE FREEWAYS AND THE BEAUTIFUL MALL.
It is a beautiful place and lived there for over a year. Would travel back for a very short visit but nothing more
