There is a town in Alajuela Costa Rica called Atenas, it's kind of rural but very nice town, it's close to the highway which directs you to San José like Escazu and Santa Ana fancy towns in CR, and also connects to the Pacific coast beaches. I personally love it because it is not a crowded town and is minutes away from city and beaches. There is an Atenas Real Estate that might help you with what you are looking for: Another option would be down south the pacific coast in Puntarenas, close to beaches like Dominical and Uvita, Bahía Ballena Natinal Park and Manuel Antonio National Park famous for its biodiversity, heavenly. I also know of a real estate there called Portasol, you could also contact them for more information: Hope you find what your looking for. Pura vida!

You will be forgiven for not hearing about this small town in Costa Rica. In fact you will be forgiven for only being able to find minimal information about this district in the province of Alajuela. You will even be forgiven for not knowing that it is located in Alajuela mountain range, and is one of the most scenic places in Costa Rica. So where, you ask is this place - the one which is difficult to find, and which invites you to enjoy a little slice of heaven? The name is Vista Atenas and as mentioned it is a small town in Costa Rica, which, up until very recently, was nothing but a name on a map, a destination to never be thought of again as people made their way trhough to Manuel Antonio National Park, one of the most popular destinations. So, what does Vista Atenas have to offer the visitor? Well, besides breathtaking scenes (can you imagine waking up to the sight of the Atenas mountains every morning?), Atenas also affords you a peace and calm that is not to be had in any of the larger resort towns, whilst at the same time, offering you easy access to everything those towns have to offer. And if you find that the delights of Vista Atenas need to be combined with that of the larger resorts, you will find that it is but a simple matter of a few hours traveling to get from one place to the next. However, if you are content to loll around in indolent harmony with nature, without the teeming masses of crowds, you will find that Vista Atenas has many things to offer you, such as hiking, cycling, restaurants, and friendly atmosphere. This is a perfect accommodation for overnights when arriving to Costa Rica or departing because of its short distance from San Jose Airport (25 minutes). You may coordinate your private shuttle at Vista Atenas. With so much to see and do in and around Vista Atenas, you will be hard pressed to want to go and mix with the masses teeming through other such resort towns. You will definitely be better served staying in Vista Atenas for the duration of your vacation, and becoming one with the scenic countryside around you.
