Coogee is personally my favourite out of the Eastern Suburb Sydney beaches. The beach is nice and there are some nice eats along the main street and fresh snacks. Great place to start and finish the Coogee to Bondi walk as a round trip - parking is better, there are backstreets without meters or the payed parking on the street is fairly cheap (for Sydney standards). The only public transport out here is buses, but there are plenty departing from the CBD along Elizabeth Street and also Surry Hills and Bondi Junction areas.

Lovely little beach side area. Beach isn't huge but it has a great set of walk ways around it. In particular the walk from Coogee to Bondi is just great. A must do (takes two hours). The Aussies have their beaches sussed!!
