Casa pueblo it's amazing! Punta del Este is beautiful and safe, it has many options for having fun alone, with friends or family.
This is a city with endless beaches, beautiful seaside mansions, tree-lined streets, chic boutiques, and stylish people. This is where you come to relax and be seen with your yacht. Tourist information right on the main drag in the middle of the town.
A very quiet beach city. Seemed like an up in coming area of Uruguay. I can see this city flooded with people and leisure travelers during the summer. Endless spans of beaches. Perfect for a pleasure get away.
Wind or no wind? Take your pick and go to the beach. Packed from December through February, "Punta" is also glorious in November or March/April when the crowds leave and you get to wander around free. Expensive (sometimes outrageously so) but wonderful. Don't miss: A walk around "La Punta" Cakes and coffee downtown Gorlero in Il Grecco or Cakes Churros at Churros Manolo (only open during season) A seafood dinner at "El Pobre Marino" Belgian Walfles at L'Auberge Hotel for a sugar attack. Also: You absolutely need a car to get around. Yes, you can bike, walk, or run but if you want independence then rent a car.
