Valdosta is a little pearl of a city in the deep southern part of Georgia. What I first noticed during my first visit some five years ago were the azaleas, more specifically, the sweet aroma of the blossoming azaleas. Currently, they're doing a lot of work on the area between I-75 and the Valdosta downtown, but it's still worth the hassle from the construction work just to experience the quaint, historical downtown.
