I think Indianapolis is a lovely city but I have to say it is more of working city than a work and play city. There isn't a lot to do unless you are there for a specific event. There are a lot of restaurants but they are mostly chains and we got the vibe it was a city where most people work and go home. We were there over Thanksgiving, so that may be a factor but in the many other times we have driven through Indianapolis we found nothing too impressive about it at no lack of trying.
Indianapolis is the capital and largest city of the Indiana and the seat of Marion County. It is located in the East North Central region of the Midwest, near the confluence of the White River and Fall Creek. The city covers 372 square miles and had an estimated population of 853,173 in 2015, making it the second most populous city in the Midwest, after Chicago, and 14th largest in the U.S.
I live a hop skip and a jump from Indianapolis. I love living so close. Yet I can get away from the hustle bustle and get back to my home in the country!
Amazing city to bring your family and spend time with friends. Overall a great city.
