Indianapolis totally sucks. The people suck, the weather sucks, and there is nothing to do. But my family unfortunately lives here. If you have the unfortunate happening to travel here go to Yats; that restaurant is amazing even if the place sucks!
I think Indianapolis is a lovely city but I have to say it is more of working city than a work and play city. There isn't a lot to do unless you are there for a specific event. There are a lot of restaurants but they are mostly chains and we got the vibe it was a city where most people work and go home. We were there over Thanksgiving, so that may be a factor but in the many other times we have driven through Indianapolis we found nothing too impressive about it at no lack of trying.
Indianapolis is the capital and largest city of the Indiana and the seat of Marion County. The city covers 372 square miles and had an estimated population of 853,173 in 2015, making it the second most populous city in the Midwest, after Chicago, and 14th largest in the U.S.
Amazing city to bring your family and spend time with friends. Overall a great city.
