Great little town that has some history and plenty to do. Near Mesa Verde. Very good services too.
I really liked Cortez. It's not a place I would visit if it wasn't surrounded by Parks and Monuments. It had all the amenities we needed while there and was easy to navigate.
We stayed for one day visited several ruins in the area stated the budget hotel snap some photos then moved on to our next destination thank you Cortez
Cortez is an excellent place to stay if you're visiting Mesa Verde, Monument Valley or the Four Corners. It's also the biggest town between Durango and Moab, and offers plenty of accommodation, decent food and even an organic food market.
