Highly recommend a visit to Arthur’s Seat & Dean Village for some breathtaking views. Don’t miss Calton Hill as well. We loved the castle, but the city as a whole is beautiful and charming.
I'm very biased as this is my home town. Having left as a pre-teen, then returned on the verge of 21yrs old, I've seen so much of this city. It fills my heart with joy. So much history. So much beauty. Please head of the beaten track. Meet the locals. But, also, hit the castle and all the things us locals ignore. Enjoy this all welcoming city and country!
I was surprised how much I enjoyed this Scottish capital! It's a lovely smaller city that packs a ton of great history and culture along with nice locals and a youthful energy that's contagious. Great spot to visit.
I love Edinburgh, very easy to travel by bus or tram. The royal mile is cool and it’s worth seeing the castle, but it has more to offer than just the royal mile
