Much history. Take a black taxi tour and get first hand knowledge. I also took a walking tour. You'll learn a lot in an hour and half!
Also known as Londonderry, the city itself is fun to see, although the countryside beyond is also worth exploring. We hired a taxi driver to show us major city sights, then take us to the country. Although the famous "troubles" are long over, they are evident through the murals painted on buildings & even in some neighborhoods reminiscent of that time in history.
I felt really uneasy here after Belfast. The tension was palpable. We did a tour and couldn't wait to move on!
