A place completely opposite to its neighbors. A very safe place to reside. I have a long history with Sudan. Once should make it a point to visit Sudan and see the Blue and the White Nile merging, its a once in a lifetime moment to see two rivers merging to create the largest river on the planet earth. Amazing cuisine availability, from authentic Sudanese to Lebanese to Egyptian to India, Its all available here. The Fresh water fish is popular here too. Burj Al Fateh and Rotana Salam, two five star hotels should suffice you leisure stay. But if you wish to lower your budget you should find quite a few well maintained hotels too. Incase you plan of travelling to Sudan and need help, you can always contact me on, shall assit you in all ways possible.

A quick stop on the way to Addis Ababa. The very friendly locals we met enroute extended an invitation for an extended visit. Some day we hope to take them up on it.

Hot in the winter, hotter in the summer. Quaint, colonial Africa style city. Very interesting.
