Really nice rustic beaches that are best spent just relaxing. And you won't be the only one. A herd of cattle come down every evening and chill on the beach. Safe swimming and at night the few beach bungalows throw parties. It isn't easy to get to..but its worth it.

This is the best time to travel to East coast Sri Lanka. West coast is not very suitable due to the monsoon. Now monsoon battering the region in full force. If you love to have sunny warm weather it is east coast beach resorts such as Nilaveli, is the option. First do a short tour and then enjoy a beach stay.
