I wish i had more time to spend in Leknes. Unfortunately I had just a couple of hours and I rented a cycle and went exploring. Highly recommended for solo female traveler! I flew from Bodo to Leknes with Wideroe airlines and had booked the Fly & Bike service. After landing in Leknes, I picked up my bike at the airport. (Due to the previous biker leaving the bike at the wrong location, i had to wait for 2 hrs to get the bike... nevertheless, i got it!). I wish to come back and explore more places in Lofoten! Make sure you spend at least 4 to 5 days at this place! its so worth it!
This town is tiny. My first night here I drove along the western coast on my way to Haukland Beach while the northern light became increasingly intense. I couldn't pull over until I got to the beach because all the spots were taken.
