If you like art, food, and history, or just a lovely, relaxing, beautiful experience, you will LOVE Oaxaca City.
A popular colonial city to visit in Mexico, I loved this region and the city was very nice to visit.
friendy city surrounded by mountains, colorfull market with good meals for resonable prices at the daytime
I fell immediately, head-over-heels in love with Oaxaca. With so many things to love it is hard to pinpoint just a few. One of the most unique things about this region though, is the cuisine. Do not be shy to eat here. Eat whatever, whenever, wherever. Especially at the main market in the magical corridor of grilled meats (follow your nose). The zocalo and Monte Alban are of course must-sees. I would highly recommend one of those walks about where you deliberately try and get yourself lost, you will find something lovely and exciting without fail.
