Had a good time. The sun was out and it was hot. Spent the day at a resort on the very end of the island. Unfortunately, you had to be a guest at the resorts to be able to spend the day there but we found one where we could just purchase food and drinks. It is a very small island, however, you still need transport to get from one end to the other.
Very touristy. Filled with shops and beaches and restaurants around the cruise ports. Resorts are nice as well but don't stray too far away from them. A lot of people come here for spring breaks. Families come here as well but mainly stick to a tour group rather than roaming about because it's filled with partiers in almost every bar. A great place for young people to come out and relax and let loose a bit.
AMAZING place for scuba diving and snorkeling. Also wonderful authentic foods!
We stayed at El Cid resort in Cozumel. This was our third and last time at that resort. Staff great. Food and service great. Rooms great. New construction of 4 very long docks allows up to 8 cruise ships to ruin the ocean view. In addition cruise ship crowds take up all the good lounging spots.
