Male is very crowded as it is capital of Maldives and it's really not worth spending time in male city.

it's very nice place but it's kind of small just 3 or 4 hours are enough to see all the city and you need a guide there you can go to internet and find the interesting places and ask the people there they are friendly and most of them speaks English

Male city is not worth the trip, though the various resorts are possibly the most beautiful in the world.

Didn't see much of Male. Landed and took a boat to Huvafen Fushi Hotel, which at the time was the top resort in the Maldives. Superb to say the least. There was even and underwater spa.
