Liepaja is a beloved spot for kitesurfers and windsurfers. You can visit The Northern Fort built on the coast of the Baltic Sea before WWI. This is not only a great place to visit for history lovers but also for anyone who wants to have a more varied and interesting walk along the coastline. You can also climb up to the clock tower of Holy Trinity Church for spectacular views of the city, soak up the atmosphere at Peter’s Market, explore the ruins of a tsarist fort or just spend time at the Blue Flag beach.
Very nice city, especially in the summer! really good sand beach, good for children, however water might be quite cold - depending on the wind. Nice wooden architecture. Tasty food and chip hotels
Just love this city :)
