It was definitely a beautiful place and I had a blast! We climbed a waterfall and rode a bobsled down a mountain!! The food was great and the shops were adorable.... my only complaint is that we did not feel very safe. People will try to sell you things and they are relentless! We had a guy follow us for an hour and I finally gave him 5 bucks to leave us alone! We had multiple people try to sell us pot, too, which is all fine except they would NOT take no for an answer.

My husband introduced me to reggae when we first met. He loves the Jamaican culture as well as the food! Since the day I as introduced, I have been obsessed as well! The locals are awesome, the views are spectacular and the food is some of the best I have had. I would recommend Ocho Rios to everyone. Make sure you check out the Dunns River Falls! They are truly beautiful and it is an experience everyone should have while in Ocho Rios! If you like Bob Marley, make sure to take a trip up to his estate Nine Miles.

My husbands and I first trip together was to Ocho Rios, Jamaica because of his fondness of Reggae music and the "chill" vibe. Jamaica did not disappoint! The food was amazing (go to a local jerk shop if you can) and the people were even more amazing. They were so grateful and nice.I never felt uncomfortable once, even when we visited Eight Mile where Bob Marley lived which is tucked in the hills. I would recommend Ocho Rios to anyone even if you do not like Reggae music or jerk food. The vibe and culture is well worth the visit. We plan on going to Negril in the future!
