Beautiful town that is also the home of parmigiana cheese. Worth a quick stop.

Parma was a pleasant surprise! We came to eat prosciutto and Parmesan, and drink Lambrusco, but found a lively city in the largely car-free historic center. Just wander--there are lots of little gems to discover here.

Difficult to list all the museums, palaces, parks and shopping and eateries found in the capital of the once-upon-a-time Duchy of Parma. The city boast one of the best standards of living of any city in Italy and you can see it too!
