This is a small town on the north west side of Iceland. We were able to walk around the entire town in about an hour. To pronounce the city name we used "It's a 4 door"

way up north, after driving on some crazy fjord roads, you can get to isafjordur (the d is really a different letter with a 'th' sound). beautiful little city and nice to camp. don't miss the dynjandi waterfalls on the drive up...they are the most insane falls i've ever seen. giant cascade. don't even look at photos online, just go and be amazed.

Aunque su población sólo alcance los 2500 habitantes, ésta es una de las ciudades más importantes de la zona oeste de los fiordos. Su actividad principal es la pesca y cuenta puerto de embarcaciones pequeñas. Pudimos ver que también es un sitio a donde llegan grandes cruceros que recorren países nórdicos. Es una ciudad pintoresca donde hacer base y abastecerse antes de salir a distintos pueblitos del Noroeste, o al Parque inhabitado justo frente a la Bahía. Desde aquí salen a diario los ferris hacia la zona de la Reserva de Hornstrandir.
