Reims is a easy day trip from Paris if you take the TGV, the Très Grande Vitesse train. The city itself is small and easy to walk around. The two big focal points are the Cathedral and champagne. You don't even need to go to one of the champagne houses to enjoy some bubbly. It can be found in every restaurant.
