Based on a typical 1 week holiday - adding together the cost of flights and accommodation - October is the cheapest month to go to Wuxi.
Wuxi is the biggest wholesalers market in China. Many traders from all over the world came here to do business with China traders. The place here is not much popular destination but if you like to see and bought China products, must came here as the price is cheapest.
Some people refer to this city as "Old Shanghai", and there is reason behind that. I learned from my tour guide that Wuxi bears distintive qualities in its culture through art and architecture. Though I didn't spend much time exploring the local culture and streets of the city, I did go see the Grand Buddha (see review here: http://www.gogobot.com/ling-shan-grand-buddha-%E7%81%B5%E5%B1%B1%E5%A4%A7%E4%BD%9B-wuxi-attraction) and the Brahma Palace (see review here: http://www.gogobot.com/ling-shan-brahma-palace-wuxi-attraction). There are multiple gardens and parks spread throughout the city, so if you're visiting for the long haul, make sure to at least check some of them out!
