Super cheap, really nice place and the amount of food you get is amazing for the price you pay
Arkutino beach is part of the preserved area of river Ropotamo, near Burgas, Bulgaria. The beach is covered with sand lilies - protected species. You may make awesome beach trekking - walk through the dunes, swim in the sea, jump off the cliffs.
This is nice port city on the Black Sea. Still needs some work but much better than Romania and they are building. The railway station has free internet. Nice area for shopping with no traffic.
Burgas is at the extreme western end of the Black Sea and is one of Bulgaria's biggest ports. I was here on a border run from Turkey with my wife in 2008. Aside from wandering the two main streets, which have a few handsome turn of the century buildings colored pastel shades, and walking along the beach (where it's impossible to get away from the sight of cranes and tankers), there wasn't a whole lot to do.
