To be perfectly honest, I find the Amazon quite boring as a tourist destination, and I've been going for work for years. It's dense jungle, so you can't exactly hike or walk around. The best thing you can do is a lovely boat ride. But if you come to Belem, there are some historic sites. And the most amazing open air market, with all the amazing products from the forest. A spectacular feast for the senses.
