The best seaside town to experience all the culture of Belize without the tourist crowds. It's a great home-base for exploring the Stann Creek area of Belize and is in close proximity to Cockscomb Basin (if you prefer to hike) and pristine coral reefs (if you prefer water sports).

A dilapidated little seaside town. Not much to do but catch a boat out to the cayes off shore.
