March to October absouletly perfect weather. A city with a difference very laid back country city. The Esplanade I would say is one of Townsville biggest attractions, it stretches all along the coastline and is well worth an early morning walk Sunrises are magical and there are plenty of eatery to stop off along the way. If you have small kids the Water Park is a must as is the museum . Magnetic Island another ideal place for all ages great place to just go and relax, variety of accommodation suitable for all budgets. Townsville sadly is one of Queensland overlooked cities when it comes to tourism , and I myself have travelled a greater part of the world.
