I was only passing thru this city hen I was going to pick up my friend on our way to Kosciuszko National Park so I didn't see much. The main street is pretty nice and full of small shops, coffees and restaurants. The city is really clean and looks calm and friendly.

Cooma is the gateway to the Snowy Mountains area it is situated just over and hour south of Canberra it has good shopping with all the top retailers in town the town is well geared for the local grazing business and the booming winter snow sports Cooma employs a large work force the Ex Servicemans Club have regular artists and bands appearing there are several good restaurants fast food is well catered with McDonalds and KFC and Subway 24 hour service Station so fueling up any time is what the tourists need in the holiday times Cooma Prison is one of the towns top employers and puts a lot of money back into the town it is a designed for for mainly minor offenders Accommodation is for every taste from budget to 5 star Cooma annually sees around 1 million visitors so its a go ahead town come and take a look
