Santiago de Compostela Airport (SCQ) is the main airport serving the city, and is one of three international airports in Galicia. It’s a small but perfectly formed airport, with three eateries to choose from and a good selection of shops. There’s also Wi-Fi throughout the terminal: the first 15 minutes are free, perfect if you need to quickly check your emails before heading home.

Getting into Santiago de Compostela
You can catch a bus from the airport which runs to Plaza de Galicia in the centre of town. It stops at a number of different places in the city. Single tickets cost €3*(about £2.40) while returns cost €5.10* (roughly £4.05). There are also buses connecting to other cities including Lugo, Sobrado, and A Coruña.
Taxis are also available at the airport, with a flat rate of €21* (just under £16.75) for journeys to and from the city. There’s also a €0.50* (about 40p) supplement for each pieces of luggage carried. If you’re planning on doing a lot of exploring, or are staying in a rural area, you might be better off hiring a car. Avis, Enterprise Atesa, Europcar and Hertz all have a base at the airport.
