Getting into Jacksonville
Public transport is available from JTA bus route CT-3, which can be caught at the Pre-Arranged Ground Transportation Area. The best time to visit Jacksonville is during the “shoulder season”, from March until May and September to November. This is just before and just after the high season is in full swing, so you can usually get great deals on flights and hotels. Temperatures are still pleasant, with highs ranging from 22-28°C, but the beaches are less crowded.
Lots of events take place in Jacksonville during spring, including the Jacksonville Jazz Festival and the Mug Race in May, and Springing the Blues in April. During October and Novemeber there are a few interesting events including the Georgia vs Florida football game and the Light Parade.
