The Italian capital of Christmas, the official capital of the Alps, and the capital of South Tyrol, Bolzano is a city with plenty of strings to its bow. One of the biggest strings is its archaeology museum, where the five thousand year old “iceman” Ötzi is kept. The gateway to the Dolomites, Bolzano is full of Alpine beauty as well as traditional Italian frescoes and churches.
