Laurence Tracol is our new VP of Finance

We’re pleased to welcome former eBay executive Laurence Tracol as VP of Finance at Skyscanner.

Laurence reports to COO Kris Beyens. She’ll lead Skyscanner’s global finance function across Europe, the US and APAC and has joined Skyscanner’s executive team. Laurence joins us from eBay, where she held a number of finance leadership positions, and most recently served as Deputy CFO for eBay International.

COO Kris is delighted that Laurence has joined the team, commenting:

“Laurence has a strong track record of accelerating growth, driving strategic business initiatives and developing high-performing teams. Leading Finance, Laurence will support our overarching business strategy and directives. She is highly aligned to Skyscanner’s mission of leading the transformation to modern and sustainable travel: we’re delighted to welcome Laurence to the Skyscanner team.”

Like the majority of Skyscanner colleagues, Laurence has been working remotely, and said: “I’ve joined the business at a challenging but exciting time and the past few weeks have been spent listening and learning from the fantastic team in place at Skyscanner. The impact of COVID-19 on the travel sector is not inconsiderable, but Skyscanner enjoys a prime position in the world of travel. I believe that there is pent-up demand for travel in the future, which makes for a significant financial opportunity for a global business like Skyscanner. As VP of Finance, my team will focus on how to best capitalise on this opportunity as we seek to further Skyscanner’s ambitious longer-term financial growth.”

Outside of Skyscanner, Laurence also serves as a non-executive director and strategic advisor.

Naturally, she’s a keen traveller. Whether hiking through Jordan or volunteering in Vietnam, Laurence particularly loves adventure travel and being outdoors with her family. Having visited over 38 countries herself, Laurence is looking forward to discovering hidden travel destination gems through Skyscanner’s collective hive-mind.

Welcome to the team, Laurence!
