Petrol stations near Plovdiv Airport
If you select a 'full to full' car rental agreement you will need to hand your car back with a full tank.
There's a Lukoil petrol station to the north of the airport on National Road 86. If you're coming from the south you'll pass a Gazprom station on the same road. Both are just a few minute's drive from the airport junction.
Driving around Plovdiv Airport
Dual carriageway National Route 86 runs past the airport and into the city centre. There are no major motorways on the route into Plovdiv, although the A1 is just beyond the city limits. Although the roads are easy to drive on we recommend choosing a car hire package that includes a sat nav. Most of the signs are in Cyrillic script, and if you can't read Bulgarian you'll find it tricky to get around without a technological aid.
