Where to hire a car at Coventry Airport
There are no car hire firms on site at Coventry Airport, however a number of car hire firms offer a Meet and Greet service. The reception at the West Car Park is the pick-up zone for companies including Enterprise, Hertz, Budget, Avis, Alamo and Europcar.

There's a Murco Petroleum and a Malthurst petrol station a few minutes' drive from the airport, just off the A45 road.
Driving around Coventry Airport
The A45 road passes the airport. It's quite a busy road, so be prepared to join traffic almost as soon as you pick up your rental car. There are a lot of small roads around the airport, too. We recommend choosing a car hire package which includes a sat-nav system. If you're going further afield than Coventry it will make life a bit easier.

There are more than 450 on-street parking spaces in the centre of Coventry, with free parking after 6pm and a reduced fee on Sundays. From Monday to Friday it costs £1 an hour to park, with a maximum stay of two hours in Zone 1 and four hours in Zone 2. On Sunday you can park for four hours for 50p. There are also a number of surface and multi-storey car parks.

If you can't find cheap flights to Birmingham, Coventry is a good alternative. It only takes 33 minutes to drive to Birmingham from Coventry Airport. There are plenty of places to park in Birmingham,
with metered on street parking in four different charge zones as well as a range of council and privately owned car parks. We recommend booking a hotel in Birmingham with guest parking, as this will save you a lot of time, effort, and money.

It takes about an hour to drive to Oxford from Coventry Airport. There are six city council run car parks in the centre of Oxford, although two (Westgate and Abbey Place) will be closed until 2017. Charges vary, although you can expect to pay from £13.40-£31.50 for 24 hours.
