 Getting to & from the Airport

Driving hide 

Gatwick Airport is 28 miles south of London, linked directly to the M23 at Junction 9 and to the A23 London to Brighton road. The M25 is a ten minute drive away at Junction 7, providing connections to the national road and motorway network.

North Terminal: RH6 0PJ

You can drop-off passengers in the designated forecourts outside the terminal buildings. However, for security reasons there is a strict no-waiting policy on the forecourt. If you want to come into the terminals you must use one of the short or long stay car parks. If you are collecting passengers you must use the short stay car park.

Trains hide 

Gatwick Airport is 30 minutes from central London via the non-stop Gatwick Express train which has rail links to destinations all across the UK and runs non-stop every 15 mintues. The station is linked directly to the South Terminal, where a free transit shuttle will take you to the North terminal.

First Capital Connect trains run every 15 minutes to Brighton and to Bedford via East Croydon, London Bridge, St Pancras International and Luton.

Southern trains run to London Victoria via East Croydon and Clapham Junction, and to London Bridge via East Croydon. Southbound services run to Brighton, Eastbourne, Portsmouth and Southampton.

Buses hide 

EasyBus is a low-cost frequent airport transfer non-stop from London and Gatwick. Buses depart every 15 minutes at peak times and run throughout the day and night from both the North and South terminals to Earls Court/West Brompton in central London. EasyBus runs seven days a week except Christmas Day and can be used by any airline passenger.

National Express services run direct services from the North and South terminals to much of the UK including London, Brighton and Heathrow.

There are also local buses like the Fastway numbers 10 and 20, Route 7, Route 10 and Gatwick Direct 200 departing from various UK locations.

Taxi services are provided by the airport's official partner, Airport Cars - Gatwick. The company will quote your fare before the journey. Cars can be pre-booked and fares paid before or at the end of the journey by cash or credit card.

Airport Cars depart from Gatwick North Terminal arrivals area and in the South Terminal entrance building. A journey to central London takes approximately one hour.
