Jet Airways is India's second largest airline after IndiGo, and is based in Mumbai. They fly to 68 destinations, both domestic and international, with a fleet of 114 aircraft. Most of their destinations are located in Europe, Asia, and North America. London was their very first long-haul destination, with flights to and from Britain launched in 2005. As of 2017, London-Heathrow is still the only British airport that Jet Airways fly from. They offer flights from London to New Delhi and London to Mumbai, departing from terminal 4. Their frequent-flyer program is Jet Privilege, and they're a member of the Etihad Partners airline alliance. They have codeshare agreements with lots of big-name airlines, and talks are in place to bring Jet Airways into the SkyTeam Alliance.

How to check in
As well as the usual check-in options (web, mobile, desk and kiosk), Jet Airways offer several unique ways to check-in. You can check in using Twitter by sending a direct message (not an @ reply) to @jetairways following this format: #checkin < First Name > < Last Name > < PNR > < Dep City >. You can also check in over the telephone, although you'll still need to pick up your boarding card from the check in desk at the airport. If you're flying back the same day that you arrive, you can check in for both flights at the same time. You can also check in at two metro stations in Delhi, New Delhi metro station and Shivaji Stadium, and at the Lianhuashan, Macau Maritime, Macau Taipa, Shenzhen Fuyong and Shenzhen Shekou ferry ports if you're flying from Hong Kong.
Jet Airways seat pitch (the distance between your seat and the one in front) is fairly generous on the airline's wide-body aircraft, with 32 inches in economy, 49 inches in Business class, and 90 inches in first class. You can pre-select your preferred seats for a fee if you're flying in Economy. Prices vary depending on route, but on flights between London and India it costs £40 for an extra legroom seat at the bulkhead or exit row, and £15 if you want to reserve a window seat. Seat bookingservice is free if you're a JetPrivilege Platinum or Gold member, or if you're travelling in First Class or Première. You can do this from 331 days before departure until 24 hours before you fly.
Jet Airways charge a credit card fee of £6.50 for all bookings made at London ticket offices.
Service on board
Passengers on Boeing 777 and Airbus A330 flights can enjoy on-demand TV shows, films and music thought JetScreen from their seatback TV. If you're flying on the Boeing 737 you won't have your own TV, but you can stream from the JetScreen catalogue straight onto your tablet or phone. Or you can flick through their in-flight magazine, JetWings. In-flight dining includes a range of Indian, European, and East Asian favourites. There's also a huge tea menu courtesy of Sky Chai, so you don't need to slurp on a builder's brew. First class passengers have a 23 inch TV screen, and can enjoy a five course meal accompanied by vintage Bollinger champagne. The Première class cabin has lie-flat beds, perfect for grabbing a snooze before arriving at your big business meeting.
Jet Airways were the seventh most punctual airline in the Asia-Pacific region during 2016, with just over 76% of flights arriving on time. They were the most punctual airline flying from London to Mumbai, beating British Airways and Air India to the top spot. Over eight out of ten flights departed within 15 minutes of scheduled departure time and the average delay was ten minutes. Unfortunately this performance isn't repeated on flights from London to Delhi. Jet Airways are the least punctual airline on the route. Just 53% of flights left within 15 minutes of scheduled departure time in 2016, with an average delay of just over 25 minutes.
