Korea became the first Asian team to qualify for the semi-finals of the tournament when they co-hosted the competition with Japan in 2002 but failed to live up to that promise in 2006.  Manchester United’s Park Ji Sung is a top rate player and he, like his team-mates have a phenomenal work-rate chasing down the ball and harrying players for the full ninety minutes.  Weaknesses of the team though, are a lack of strength in depth and vulnerability when it comes to the physicality of the game against heavier, stronger and taller opponents.
