A fitful 40 winks with your head against the plane window isn’t going to help you arrive at your destination fresh-faced. But developers at Kawamura-Ganjavian studios have come up with the ultimate travel pillow, designed to make napping on the move much more comfortable. The (synthetic) Ostrich Pillow sounds pretty comfy, just a shame that it looks like a padded balaclava!
Do you hate having to stand in the aisles, waiting for other passengers to take off their coats, stow away hand luggage and generally faff around when you’re boarding a flight? A company in Denver have designed the first ‘Side-Slip Seat’ to speed up boarding. The aisle seat folds on to the middle one, widening the aisle from 19 to 43 inches. This means you get more time to browse the duty free and the airplane takes off on time: win-win all-round! Coming to a budget airline near you – hopefully!

UK hotel chain, Premier Inn, has revealed some of the most unusual items holidaymakers ditched in their hotel room over the summer. A cardboard Duchess of Cambridge, 18 masks of the Queen and 12 masks of Prince Philip were amongst the oddest items left behind.

Philadelphia’s unique pizza parlour has been recognised by the Guinness Book of Records as housing the largest collection of pizza memorabilia. From headphones shaped like pizza slices, to artwork of perhaps pizza’s most famous patrons, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Cowabunga!
A theme park in Ecuador has lost its claim to fame. Middle of the World, visited by half-a-million tourists a year, does not in fact lie across the middle of the world, park authorities have admitted. Rather than lying directly on it, it lies 240 metres north of the Equator. The blunder was discovered using the latest GPS technology.
