Cheap flights carrier Norwegian Air Shuttle will launch a new flight between
Copenhagen and London Gatwick as part of its new summer programme, according to reports.
The airline will begin the new route on March 29th, with two daily return flights operating between the Danish capital and London's second-largest airport.
Commenting on the new flight, Bjourn Kjos, chief executive of Norwegian, told Opodo: "We are pleased to announce this new route to both our business travellers and the leisure market.
"The timetable will give our customers great flexibility."
Weekday flights will depart Copenhagen at 07:20 and 18:00, with the return flights leaving Gatwick at 08:55 and 19:40.
During the weekend, departures from the Danish capital will be at 09:05 and 18:00, with the return flights scheduled for 10:40 and 19:40.
The new route takes the airline's total number of routes from Copenhagen to 16, with plans already underway to launch further flights to Rome and Barcelona.
Norwegian Air Shuttle was launched in September 2002 and employs in the region of 1,200 people.
