Cheap flights airline easyJet has announced the launch of new services to Biarritz from Gatwick.
The flights from London to France took off on Friday and will operate four times a week.
It is hoped the new route will provide low-cost access to the Basque County for passengers, making it easier to take short breaks on the Atlantic Coast.
Commenting on the flights, David Osborne, UK country manager for easyJet, said: "Biarritz is already a popular destination from other easyJet bases and now travellers from Gatwick have the opportunity to explore one of the most popular destinations on the west coast of France.
"Forward bookings for the route have been strong, which further proves the demand for affordable flights to the sun this summer."
Meanwhile, the low-cost airline has revealed a 19.5 percent increase in passenger numbers over the past 12 months.
This significant rise has been attributed to easyJet's acquisition of Gatwick-based GB Airways in January.
