Larger aircraft to be operated on Austrian Airlines' Vienna to Dubai flight
Austrian Airlines has announced that it will be using larger aircraft on its Vienna to Dubai flight from March 1st
The carrier will introduce a Boeing 767 on the popular route, replacing the medium-haul aircraft that it currently uses and boosting its capacity to 235 seats (up 20 percent from the current level).
According to an Austrian Airlines press release: "Viewed in terms of business class capacity alone, the expansion in capacity is greater still: the change means Austrian Airlines will now offer up to 120 business class seats a day on the route."
The airline added that the Middle East was an "essential and strong pillar" of its corporate strategy.
The new aircraft will feature sleeper seats that have adjustable back and footrests and an integrated massage function.
Austrian Airlines is based at Vienna International Airport and operates flights to 130 destinations around the world.
It became a member of the Star Alliance in 2000.
