Couples have been urged to take flights to New York City for a romantic getaway this Valentine's Day.
According to NYC and Company, the city's official tourism organization, it is the most popular travel destination in the whole of the US.
With Valentine's day only weeks away, the city of New York boasts plenty of romance to both couples and singles, the tourism company said.
Whether it's dining at the Central Park Boathouse, ice skating at the Rockefeller Center Ice Rink or viewing the night lights from the Brooklyn Bridge, there are many reasons to love the city, it added.
"With all of its iconic romantic spots, New York City delivers the best Valentine's Day experience for both singles and couples alike," said George Fertitta, chief executive of NYC & Company.
New York City's John F Kennedy International Airport welcomed more than 3.7 million passengers in November to bring its total for the previous 12 months to 45.9 million, of which nearly 22 million were from other countries.
