Skyscanner launches WhoFlies Widget
Skyscanner (www.Skyscanner.net), Europe’s most popular flight search engine, today launches the WhoFlies widget, the second in a series of ‘Skytools’ – a suite of free widgets/APIs/integrations, that allows third party websites to display Skyscanner’s flight information on their own sites.

Spain Dominates Top Ten Half Term Holiday Spots
Alicante was one of six Spanish cities that dominated the top ten most searched for flight destinations over the half term holiday period, according to flight search engine, Skyscanner. It seems families are keen to take their last chance for sun before winter sets in, with 9 of the top 10 half term holiday destinations being beach/sun holiday spots.

Skyscanner sees 35% traffic growth despite travel industry downturn
Skyscanner.net, the flight search engine that allows users to find the cheapest flight for their trip by comparing air fares from hundreds of different airlines, has reported a 26% rise in visitor numbers over the last 12 months, despite the recent turbulence in the airline industry and the global financial downturn.

Team Skyscanner in Pedal for Scotland 2008 Cycle Ride
Team Skyscanner helped raise money for Leukaemia Research this weekend by completing a 55 mile cycle ride from Glasgow to Edinburgh, held on the Sunday 14th. The five strong Skyscanner team, which included Chef executive and co-founder, Gareth Williams, took part in the ride along with around 5000 other cyclists, all of ages and abilities.

Skyscanner and Ryanair: the “cease and desist” situation clarified
Ryanair has published on their website a letter written to the European Commission regarding their recent announcement about “screenscraper” and “ticket-tout websites”. Skyscanner, along with dozens of other travel sites are listed in the appendix as websites who have been issued with “legally binding cease and desist declarations”.

Skyscanner has recently launched a page on global social networking site, Facebook. The Skyscanner Facebok Page will be frequently updated with links to relevant flight news and travel advice, and host photos of the company’s offices and outings, and will also provide a place for Skyscanner fans to interact with the company and each other.

Team Skyscanner battles blizzards in Munro mountain climb
With the agility of mountain goats, Team Skyscanner bounded over rock and earth to reach the summit of Meall nan Tarmachan, a Munro of 1044m situated in southern Scottish Highlands. The multinational climbing team was made up of a mixture of Scots, English, Polish and New Zealanders, who took around three hours to reach the top of the mountain.
