Monday 5 October 2009

Skyscanner is continuing its international expansion with the launch of new domains and subdomains for six territories across Asia and Europe.

The new domains include Norway (www.skyscanner.no), Denmark (www.skyscanner.dk), Turkey (www.skyscanner.com.tr), South Korea (www.skyscanner.kr), Taiwan (tw.skyscanner.com) and China (cn.skyscanner.com).

Barry Smith, co-founder and Director of Business Development explained:

“The launch of these new domains further increases Skyscanner’s visibility in these markets and local search engines. With more than 60% of our traffic now coming from outside of the UK and Ireland, it’s vital that Skyscanner is accessible to everyone, not just English speakers, which is why we are dedicated to creating a travel search site which is as international and multilingual as possible.”

The latest launch follows the release of several other top level domains in February this year as well as new press activity in several European countries and North America.

Skyscanner is already available in 20 different languages and 62 different currencies.
