Travel Tip #8: Keep an open mind about airlines

Don't automatically assume that the so called "low cost" airlines (easyJet, Flybe, Ryanair etc) are always the cheapest option. The rise of budget airlines has forced traditional carriers (BA, KLM, Swiss etc) to lower their prices too.

That said - budget airlines can certainly offer some great bargains if you play by their rules. Remember to check the location of the airport - some budget airlines fly to airports that are up to 70 miles from the city they claim to serve.
